Best Times of Year for Family Photos in Southwest Florida

In Southwest Florida, we're lucky to have beauty year-round. But some seasons offer especially ideal conditions for family photography. If you're wondering when to book your session with Savor Photography, here's a breakdown of what each season brings.

Fall (October to early December)
This is one of the most popular times to book. The weather starts to cool just enough to take the edge off the humidity, and sunsets are stunning. It’s also a great time if you want photos ready for holiday cards and gifts.

Winter (late December to February)
Our version of winter is still full of sunshine and color. The light is soft and flattering, and beach locations are less crowded after the holiday rush. It's a beautiful time to capture visiting family or out-of-town guests.

Spring (March to May)
Spring brings warmth without the intense summer heat. Everything feels fresh and vibrant. It’s an ideal season for beach sessions, especially if you want golden light and soft pastel skies.

Summer (June to September)
Summer sessions are possible, especially for families visiting on vacation. We typically recommend sunrise or early morning sessions to beat the heat and avoid afternoon storms. It's also a quieter time for beaches, offering a more peaceful backdrop.

Pro Tip: Sunset is always golden
Regardless of the season, we usually plan sessions around golden hour—about an hour before sunset—for the most beautiful, flattering light.
