Hello!

I’m Rachel, the owner and photographer at Savor Photography. I’ve been photographing families in Naples for over twelve years and still get excited every single time I stick my toes in the warm sandy beach and when I get the first glimpse of a session on my computer. When I’m editing a session, I usually have a smile on my face, reacting to YOUR emotions in the photos!

I believe that portrait sessions should have a mixture of formal and candid photographs. I have a tried and true method to get the perfect mixture of both! I’ve been told many times that I’m great with children, which is probably because I have a lot of experience. I have four children of my own ranging from age 2 to 15. Creating is my lifeline and nothing makes me happy like making beautiful things. We have photographs all over my house and they bring me such joy. Let me do that for you, too!

I’m an introvert, which is a hard thing to be in a big family! One thing I strive to do is make everyone in your party comfortable in front of the camera and I’ve been told I have a calming effect on people. That’s not to say we won’t have a great time during your session! Play is almost always involved - whether it is splashing around in the water as the sun sets, taking a walk along the water line, or going in for a group hug, I know how to elicit real emotion and showcase your family’s connections.

My family loves to travel, so if I don’t have a trip planned, I’m constantly looking for where to go next. My husband is Scottish and my kids are dual citizens, which gives us a great excuse to travel to the UK. Speaking of travel, I understand that it can be hard to plan family photos when you’re on vacation. So leave that part to me! I will help you plan your outfits, location, and times so that all you have to do is show up and enjoy the sunset.
